Nintendo is working on new hardware

Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that the Japanese company is busy developing new game console.

The inventor of Mario and Zelda among others reported this past weekend when he took a prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival. Miyamoto devoted not matter about the internal hardware that Nintendo has in development.

It is not clear whether he was talking about the forthcoming successor to the portable Nintendo DS was, or a successor to the Nintendo Wii, which is rumoured to be called the ‘WiiToo’.

Miyamoto also revealed that he was developing a new game that uses Wii MotionPlus, the technology for the Wii controller movements with the controller is made specifically to copy your movements onto the screen.

Although he said it is not for the new Zelda title for the Wii  the developer could tell nothing about game.
