[TF2] Soldier Weapon update + free weekend!

War is hell, people. And it’s won with precision instruments, finely crafted with the sole purpose to kill. The Demomen got their share yesterday, today it’s the Soldiers’ turn. Unlike the Demoman updates with 2 weapons, the Soldier only gets one item, The Direct Hit. Designed for the sharp-shooter Soldiers amongst you, this new weapon fires 80% faster providing 25% more damage, but it comes at the cost of 70% reduced splash damage. Also, mini-crits on airborne targets. 2 new weapons will be introduced until the new weapons update goes live on Thursday evening. Which brings us to another big news. This Demos/Sollys war is such a huge deal, that Valve wants everyone to experience it. So much so that from Thursday evening till Sunday, the whole game (with all the updates) will go FREE for everyone! So for those of you still wondering what’ s the big deal about Team Fortress 2, this is the best chance for you to experience it for yourselves!
